Ben supports the growth of our regulatory practice by providing ongoing advisory services to clients in the motor fuels sector. With solid experience in fuel regulatory affairs and a strong understanding of the industry, Ben is instrumental in helping our clients navigate challenges and emerging opportunities in the energy sector.
His prior role as engineer in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality focused on fuel regulations. In addition to his recent role as Acting Branch Supervisor of the Climate Economics and Modeling Branch, his responsibilities included leading teams in implementing Part 1090 regulations, managing in-line blending waivers, and supporting emergency fuel waivers during supply disruptions. He also oversaw programs under Part 80, including the small refinery exemption program.
Ben holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Toledo and is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his family.
