Jim has 40 years of industry expertise in property tax valuation and litigation work, having served as a valuation partner at Moss Adams and as the Global Oil and Gas Valuation Leader at a Big-4 accounting firm. His work has supported SEC and IFRS financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, federal, state and local tax, international tax, insurance, bankruptcy, solvency, and litigation matters. He has also served as an expert witness before courts and tribunals in several States, in addition to IRS hearings.
Jim is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers (Certified in Oil & Gas Valuation), a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG), a Certified Mineral Appraiser (IIMA). His work has been published in the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Oil & Gas Financial Journal, and other professional publications. Jim has also presented papers at more than 50 professional conferences and events, sponsored by organizations such as the American Society of Appraisers, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the International Association of Drilling Contractors, International Liquid Terminal Association, and the American Institute of Professional Geologists.
